Hi there, my name is Grace Dowd (she/her) and I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist located in Austin, Texas. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor.
I aim to meet clients where they are while changing unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that interfere with creating the life they want to live. I tailor my treatment approaches based on each client's individual needs.
An Atlanta native, I went to the University of Georgia for undergraduate studies where I majored in psychology. In 2014, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Science of Social Work degree. I have experience working with individuals in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, and residential treatment centers.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outside, going for runs, getting lost in a good book, and checking out local restaurants with my husband and our fur baby, Hutch.
You can learn more about my therapeutic approach here.
Hutch, Therapy Dog
This is my beloved pup, Hutch! He often comes to the office with me to offer up cuddles and emotional support during session.
